LEAF was at Lymm FoodFest on Thursday 22nd June!
Ahead of the event, we provided two of the local Indian restaurants with plastic-free food containers: anticipating the upcoming ban on single use plastic take-away items. They’re made from sugar cane pulp: a material called bagasse. They’re plastic-free, 100% biodegradable and compostable. Even if they end up in landfill, they’re still kinder to the environment by not using fossil fuels in their production. And they will biodegrade in time.
Did you also spoke the food waste bins we provided? We plan on bringing more next year.
The Oughtrington Community Orchard – one of LEAF’s members – also did a great trade on their home made and home grown apple juice. They sold out in no time!
It was great to chat to Cheshire’s Mix 56 – and of course all of you who came to our stall too. See you next year!
